Referring Attorneys

Services Offered To Attorneys

As an attorney, I know how difficult it can be to meet our client's legal needs and expectations. This is compounded when the case falls outside your comfort zone. Undoubtedly there are times when you need to refer your client to another attorney in order to ensure they receive competent representation.

This can be especially true in foot malpractice cases where the medical language may be unfamiliar, standards of care can overlap, pre-exiting conditions can be difficult to separate and damages can be difficult to evaluate.

Michael Quinn, DPM, JD has dedicated his legal practice to representing people who have been seriously injured, or family members who have lost a loved one due to podiatric and foot malpractice.

Medical/ Podiatric - Legal Opinion

I know from experience that the most difficult and most expensive decision an attorney has to make during case is always the first decision: Do I take this case? This is a decision that is difficult to undo once made and if made without due diligence may lead to the unanswerable question: Why did I take this case?

I carefully review potential personal foot malpractice cases myself, along with my spouse who is also a podiatrist, and can provide you with a prompt medical-legal viability opinion in writing in order to help guide your decisions. On occasion this may lead to a straight attorney to attorney referral or joint representation arrangements.

Attorney to Attorney Case Referral

I honor referral fees on the cases that I accept in accordance with the Rules of Professional Conduct and will place all referral fee agreements in writing. In the event I decline representation, I return the client back to the referral source for appropriate disposition.

I have successfully represented clients in medical malpractice and nursing home abuse actions throughout New Jersey including Bergen County, Passaic County, Hudson County, Monmouth County, Ocean County, and Middlesex County. Currently, I have cases pending in the above as well as Union County and Camden County.

Joint Representation / Pro Hac Vice

Whether initially or during the course of a case, I make myself available to attorneys for purpose of co-counsel or in the capacity as local sponsoring attorney.

I will work with you to see that your client receives appropriate and aggressive local legal representation providing the distinct advantage of local legal experience coupled with an available medical knowledge base.
